Summary:

The FAA Repair Station Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations within an FAA-certified repair station, ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company policies, and safety standards. This role includes supervising maintenance personnel, managing work orders, and ensuring that all maintenance and repair activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise maintenance, inspection, and repair operations in accordance with FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 145).
  • Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance work using approved methods and records systems.
  • Schedule, assign, and oversee work of technicians and inspectors to maintain compliance with airworthiness standards.
  • Conduct audits, monitor repair station operations, and ensure adherence to the Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM).
  • Maintain current knowledge of FAA regulations, service bulletins, airworthiness directives (ADs), and OEM technical data.
  • Interface with the FAA, customers, vendors, and other internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee training programs and ensure personnel qualifications meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support the Operations Director and Chief Inspector with regulatory compliance and surveillance activities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure work is performed in accordance with OSHA and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations.
  • Experience working in a certified repair station environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance documentation software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
  • Valid NDT level II certifications (MPI, FPI, Ultrasonic, Xray)
  • AS or BS degree in Aviation Maintenance Management or related field is a plus.
