Job Description & Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to understand project specifications.
- Tool Selection: Determine appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for each job.
- Quality Control: Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet strict quality standards and specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on machinery and equipment to ensure proper function.
- Collaboration: Work with engineers and other team members to resolve production issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Safety: Ensure adherence to all safety standards and company procedures while working with machinery.
Duties
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Setting up and operating machine tools to cut, shape, and finish materials to exact specifications.
- Using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
- Monitoring the production process and making real-time adjustments to machine settings.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.
- Inspecting finished parts for quality assurance and documenting or discarding any defects.
- Adhering to strict safety protocols and workplace standards.
Minimum QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED is the minimum education.
- Completion of a vocational program, technical school certificate, or apprenticeship is highly valued.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and coordination.
- Ability to read and understand technical blueprints.
- Physical stamina for repetitive tasks and standing for long periods.

- Welding and fitting experience a plus
