Typical Responsibilities:
The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to the Finance Manager and the finance department. This position is responsible for accounts receivable including posting payments daily, working in a positive manner with our customers, appropriate record keeping related to payment posting. This position will also be responsible for journal entries throughout the month including month end, data entry for reporting purposes and fixed asset tracking. The successful applicant will be a team player and possess the following: positive attitude, good work ethic, strong excel skills, good verbal and written communication skills, be dependable and demonstrate attention to detail.
– Posting accounts receivable payments for multiple BP Aero Companies
– Investigate and resolve accounts receivable issues in a timely manner
– Assist customers with receivable issues when needed
– Weekly accounts receivable report
– Soft collections for past due receivables
– Recording fixed asset entries and maintaining fixed asset records
– Monthly account reconciliations
– Credit Card expense posting
– Journal entries including those for month end
– Special projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
– Experience with double entry accounting experience in a company environment
– Demonstrate attention to detail
– Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications including strong excel skills
– Good verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to multi-task
– Team player with a positive attitude
– Strong Excel Skills
– Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with at least 3 years of experience
– Accounts Receivable Experience
